This was my third time seeing the band in the last year and a half (Ottawa, 10/2007, Giants Stadium, 7/2008) and as always it was another great show. Got to witness a bit of E Street Band history too - the band's first gig in 35 years without Max Weinberg, who is now off getting ready for the launch of The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien. But, his 18 year old son Jay filled his father's shoes and then some. He brought a whole new energy to the band while staying true to the songs. If anyone has any fears about seeing the band without Max they shouldn't worry. "The newest blood brother" (as Bruce called him in Albany) did a fantastic job. Personal highlights for me were finally getting to hear "Thunder Road" and "Out in the Streets" in person. "Outlaw Pete" is great live. Also got to hear "Kitty's Back" in the encore. This was a great concert overall, but wasn't as good as the one I saw last summer on July 31 at Giants Stadium.

This was the second time I got to see Bruce Springsteen in my lifetime. The first was back in '99, I had just graduated from college and found the show good, but honestly wasn't blown away. Maybe I just didn't understand him at that point. However, since then a lot in my life has changed and I've appreciated his music more and more as I've gotten a little older. So I scored tix to last night's show at the sports arena and from the moment he counted off the show "1-2" and blasted the roof off with "Badlands", I was mesmerized. The energy and the sound was amazing all night. The new songs mixed well with the older ones and I was captured by each tune. His voice was amazing...at times haunting, and other times almost jubilant. A few of the real highlights of the evening, were "No Surrender", "The Wrestler," "Promised Land," "Johnny 99," "The Rising," and the closing "Glory Days." Well done, Bruce.

First did lights with Bruce at a swim club in NJ witnessed progresssion of shows to a great story telling artist. Covention Hall is like playing in his own living room. Great venue did shows there in 60's Doors, WHO, Black Sabbath. In Asbury Bruce will always be the boss.

My wife and I saw Bruce three times on this tour! The Saint Louis show was the same in energy and intensity as a show I saw at the Rosemont in Chicago in 1981. Three hours and 20 minutes of all out BOSS! He took requests from the audience, and played songs that the band hadn't played in 25 years. I hope he supports the new album and tours within 200 miles. God bless Danny Federici.
