we've seen many many shows over the years .The venue was just the right fit for the one man show jackson browne . The stage a simple chair and a few boom mics /piano and all of jacksons children all 15 of his Guitars line the backdrop. He told the crowd after the first opening I have no set list. He was relaxed and his voice was smooth and just top of his game. The crowd shouted many of his early hits and he pick and went with several. some one yelled Free Bird and he amazed the crowd and did a fine job with this LS tune with a bit of help from his guitar eq. manager. The mix was deep and fresh with some really new songs including one from a Movie to be released soon. Recommend this show for a great evening with a great artist who has stayed true to his cause..no plastic water bottles on this stage ..Note i lost the bet thought he looked early 50's google won he 61 ..just like wine !

Jackson Browne and his band were a solid 4 out of 5 this night. The music was excellent, the band is tight, the song selection was very good and Jackson's voice is still one of the best you will hear live. While he played alot of his new music which the crowd enjoyed and was excellent he also played The Pretender, Fountain of Sorrow and Running on Empty. The quality of the sound this night was second to none and I often found myself closing my eyes and just listening to the magic being played. If you can tune out the Narcisstic kind of Hollier than Thou attitude Jackson Browne has and you are a lover of music I guarantee you'll love his show. If you are an old time JB fan and haven't bought any of his excellent past 5 CD's and are expecting a lot of old tunes then don't waste your money.

Jackson Browne is loved by most people in this part of California - and it is his home state, his home is even close to this particular venue. Then why is it that the audience in T.O. are such inmature, unappreciative creeps? A crowd of mostly middle aged white people turned ugly this night when numerous fans shouted more song titles, greetings, blaber, and more drunken slurry verbage than at a sleezy, stinky titty bar. The crowd made Jackson Browne very uncomfortable - so much that he took a 15 minute break 6 songs into his performance. He needed to re-focus after hecklers turned his show into some sort of 'bar-guitar' - let's sit around and drink- sort of evening. Shame on you, Thousand Oaks. It was down right embarasing. Jackon's performance was as good as he could muster considering the cirsumstances. He purposely played some very down trodden songs: sad, remoreseful, mad - aimed at the unruely audience members. As one person close to me in the theatre put it, 'what a bunch of white trash'. Oh well, we do love you Jackson, sorry for the misguided, but perhaps, un-knowing, un-educated, un-loved audience last night in Thousand Oaks.

Jackson's voice was spot on! However, he seemed to stay away from some of his greatest songs which was a little dissapointing. However, he made up for it by obviously having fun with the audience and being senstive to what the fans in the audience requested except for such classics as LATE FOR THE SKY, SKY BLUE AND BLACK and THE LOAD OUT. Needless to say, he was a pleasure to watch and we did enjoy some songs we had never heard him play in public before which was a great treat! Thanks Jackson!
