Date of Concert: 12/1/2000 | Location: Philly, PA.

This was a nice trip to the Electric Factory in PA. My girlfriend and I took a trip to see Bobby, and they were on fire. As a musician previously of a Dead cover band, Bob Weir struck lightning that night in my eyes and passed that barrier of confusion. He really started to sound like Bobby again, as the 2005 Bobby does, intricate guitar licks, stage leadership and the continuation of writing above and beyond some of the best music today, sadly; not in terms of Ratdog, but music today does not cause emotive feelings like Ratdog can. The ever amazing Persuasions were the highlight & opening act, and they're just the most fantastic harmonizing bunch of guy's I've ever heard sing Liberty It's gospel, but with beauty and serenity of Hunter lyrics. The night started out chill with a solid rendetion of the Beatles, Blackbird. When I say lightning, the electricty and connection of bandmates started falling into place and Bobby sounded better than ever this show, Odessa, L.L. Rain, Greatest, WRS&rt;Let it Grow, Ashes and Glass, Schoolgirl the new fast way. Bobby broke that out at the Meadowlands for the first time in 95' at the Meadowlands. I remember thinking,,,What is going on around here? Wow! I've attached the full set list from the show. I've been seeing Bobby since 92' with 100's of shows both Dead and Ratdog in my mind, dreams of discovering the wonders of nature. Thank you Bobby, as a guitarist/singer-songwriter, you've taught me how to become an intricate rhythm guitarist, maintain stage presence, write music from various different genres, blues, rock n'roll and the Untold Passageway, songs like Lazy Lightning&rt;Supplication, Lost Sailor&rt;Saint, T. Stones, Sugar Magnolia, but most of all, I sing like a crazy freak to, it's just in the blood. Turn on your Lovelight! Peace thru Music... Set 1: Blackbird &rt; Odessa, Looks Like Rain, Liberty*, Bury Me Standing &rt; Greatest Story Ever Told &rt; Good Morning Little Schoolgirl &rt; Welcome to the World &rt; Dark Star Jam &rt; Weather Report Suite &rt; Let it Grow &rt; SOLOS &rt; Jam &rt; Ashes and Glass &rt; Help on the Way &rt; Slipknot &rt; Franklin's Tower, E: Franklin's Tower (reprise) &rt; Throwing Stones Comment: * With The Persuassions.
