I had rather low expectations of Hollywood Undead as they took the stage at the 2009 Epicenter Festival. I was shocked that they didn't suck as bad as I assumed they would. In fact, they didn't suck at all. I wouldn't run out and purchase their CD. but they had a good energy, got the crowd into it and performed their recent radio hits well. Not bad at all. I always enjoyed playing the Madden video game series. I bought the 2009 version in August of last year and heard "Undead" for the first time. I Googled the unedited version (Madden has to be rated E) and I was hooked.

My friends and I listened to Undead, No. 5, Dead in Ditches, and Scene for Dummies and figured that was all the songs that they had that were decent. Wrong I bought the CD Swan Songs and I love almost every track!

Onto the concert. We drove 2 hours up from Southeastern Ohio to Newport Music Hall for this. It was the TCB tour with The Sleeping, Mest, Red Jumpsuit, and HU. The Sleeping jacked everyone up with a Wall of Death, and Mest cranked it up one more notch with a stellar performance. Jumpsuit was dreadful. Sucked most of our energy out.

Hollywood Undead finally came out and KILLED the song Undead. You could barely hear them because all the 1,000+ people in this little venue were screaming the lyrics. As the first review, two songs later they removed their masks and sang without them. They did 13 songs that night which is more than substantial.

You could hear the lyrics perfectly and the band sounds very very close to the CD. They got everywhere up and kept the up the whole time. The show was awesome and I would definitely see them again.

It all started while i was driving around with a few girls i'd just met from a show listening to a cd when one of them says this reminds me of hollywood undead. She said I should check them out and I would like them .

I did and I ended up liking them. My friends all bought the cd and we had been jammin it for a few months. I missed there previous show but bought my tickets early to this show in march. It went on to SELL OUT!!! The Pageant in St. Louis which I think capacity is 4,000.

Senses Fail opened the show and rocked out, talked smack, while drinking a twelver of PBR. I thought they were strong openers. Senses had a lot of people rocking there gear in the crowd. They just dont like the band brokencyde.

Hollywood Undead came out in all there masked and ROCKED "Undead" with a sold out crowd. After the first two songs they took off the mask!!!!They played all the favorites off swan songs, they played for a full 65 minutes plus. The stopped to do a encore and came back out with their mask on to school "NO 5" and ended on a powerful "Young" that let the packed crowd charged.

Very Good sound wise, they also have a good group chemistry and rhyme well together live. Tickets were only 15 dollars and well worth it. Very nice band down to meet there fans, Do interviews,Signings, Etc. They have earned there success.

I suggest you go see this band. Also don't underestimate them I saw a lot of people turned away that thought they could buy tickets at the door. These guys have earned a impressive following and deserve your support.
