I love the Warped Tour. Every year I wait less than patiently for the bands and tour dates to be announced, so I can accordingly schedule my summer around whether or not I'll be attending. But while this was my first time attending the Vans Warped Tour in San Francisco, I feel confident enough to say that it will not be the last. Though I wasn't excited for the majority of bands this year, the ones that I did want to see did not let me down. I could go into a full depth review of every moment and every performance, but I won't. Sure the crowds are huge and rowdy, lines long and food and drinks horribly overpriced... but if you're prepared, you should already know what to expect. One thing that was the most disappointing was the lack of shaded areas available for the public. I found myself sitting underneath a Semi-Truck trailer just to escape the sun, and everyone questioned the potential disaster, but it didn't stop the rest of the event goers from doing it as well throughout the day. On an ending note, my only suggestion to them would be to give their crowd more options. Cheaper alternatives for food and drink - that doesn't include the hose water First Aid was handing out for free - would be great. I'd also suggest less worthless booths of clothing company after clothing company and "Big Name" sponsors with useless "Text Now" gimmicks.
