Tracy Chapman’s “Future” Plans

Singer/songwriter Tracy Chapman will hit the road next month for her first North American tour in more than three years in support of her latest release Our Bright Future.

Chapman will warm up for the tour with a major European run, with multiple gigs scheduled in Ireland, England, France, Denmark, Poland, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Switzerland and The Netherlands.

The trek kicks off July 31 at Boston’s House of Blues and works its way across country, hitting major markets along the way including Philadelphia, New York City, Chicago, Minneapolis, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Future, Chapman’s first album since 2005’s Where You Live, was well received upon it’s release last November. The disc features 11 new songs co-written by Grammy Award-winning producer Larry Klein (Herbie Hancock, Joni Mitchell, Madeleine Peyroux).
