Back To The Grindstone

Cattle Decapitation will bring its animal-rights-infused blend of death metal and grindcore to U.S. clubs this November and December.

The San Diego-based band, which recently released the full-length Karma.Bloody.Karma, will start things off November 17 at Redrum in Austin, Texas. Sixteen venues are booked over the following three weeks, including New York City's Knitting Factory and Baltimore's Ottobar.

No death metal tour is complete without a stop in Florida, and Cattle Decapitation will make two - in Orlando and Tallahassee. The current itinerary has the group swinging through Minnesota in early December and making it as far west as Aurora, Colo.

Last month, Cattle Decapitation was forced to back out of its opening slot for Six Feet Under due to problems with its tour drummer, according to a post on the group's official Web site. An unnamed replacement will be on board for the upcoming concerts.
